When you’ve gotten used to hunching your back for 10 or 20 years and you decide to change your posture because someone told you to do so, it can be a challenge. It can even be painful since you’re squeezing your back to straighten up. This ends up to back pain.
This will result in muscle tension in the shoulder or the muscles of the front your body because those muscles haven’t been used to being positioned for good posture. Tension for long periods of time can cause muscle fatigue. The more you contract your muscles, the more tension your body feels — specifically the back muscles.
